Mombie!

One of the definitions of a Mombie on urban dictionary is this:

“A sleep-deprived supermom who feeds on caffeine and survives on sticky kisses and messy smiles. Mombies are master multi-taskers and suck-it-uppers.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself!! Exhaustion!! It’s 01:53am and I have just decided it’s the right time to start writing this piece, so please excuse me if it’s total nonsense.

My baby is now 4 months and 3 weeks old. At around 10 weeks old she started to have lovely long sleeps at night, sleeping from 8-11, 11:30-5, 5:30-7. It was amazing!! Then, at 12 weeks, she got called for a hip scan because of a click they felt at birth. To make a long story short, she had very minor hip dysplasia on both sides and had to wear a harness for six weeks. Getting her harness on, knocked her back to waking every 2.5-3 hours. She has had the harness off for a week now, but her sleeping pattern has remained the same. Although, tonight I got 9;30-01:15.. It only takes a feeding and a burping to settle her, but once I’m awake it takes me a while to get back to sleep and then she’s up again. Thankfully, there hasn’t been a peep from my two other babies since I put them to bed at 7pm (eldest turned 3 in April, and second will turn 2 in July). Meanwhile my husband is happily snoring away beside me. Him and his useless nipples!!! I am already looking forward to my morning coffee!!!
